Hey everyone. Sorry to be so lame about the blog. I have been a bit a busy. So let me update you on the happs...

So I joined Union Local 16. The stagehands/audio/video union. I have had a few gigs that have come through and I even got my first paycheck. WOOO! Things are looking up.

I placed an AD on craigslist asking if anyone needed a sound man. I got a bunch of responses that should lead to some interesting jobs. :-)

I got new airwalk slip ons. They rule.

The dodgers are in the playoffs. Gay. The cubbies are *hopefully* going to sweep them. Which would be way rad. Because the dodgers suck a lot...

I should be back to party in LA on october 30th. So if you are there lets hang...

Saw my friend pete play a basement tonight. It was great. I got to see a lot of good friends who I ahven't seen in YEARS. It finally felt like it should tonight. It finally felt like Home.

She is always looking fabulous. It is a beautiful day in the city. We dont get days liek this very often so I think a cruise around town is in order.

Thank you Metallica for coming back. I missed you during what I call the "Lost days". Finally you have returned.

In other news I am almost in the union. A bit of grunt work and I should be good. I called the director today and he should be getting back to me to finish the process. They say its about two years worth of grunt work before you get thrown on. I , for once , was really ok with that. Usually I get nervous about long commitments , but this was no problem.

New Metallica Album + Pictures

Validation

I very often seek validation for the choices I have made. Everything from what I want for lunch to moving 400 miles north. I seek that validation. Usually I get it when I make the right choice....

Yesterday my father , who is a pro photographer , was in foster city (A suburb of SF about 25 miles out) doing a gig for a big credit card company. He was doing the walk through yesterday when he noticed a big stage and a huge sound set up , complete with a sound man.

My dad being the guy he is , walked right up to the sound guy and asked him how business was. The sound guy replied that it was FANTASTIC and that this year alone he made enough to purchase his second house in SF. My dad then proceeds to mention my story . me moving back to do live sound full time , and the sound guy flips out. In a good way. He gave my father his card , and said that I should join the union here in the city. In fact if I mention his name he would get me into the apprenticing program that pays people to learn the craft. Ecstatic my father calls me and gives me the news....

That was the validation that i needed to drive that last nail in. I always knew that this was the right choice no matter how much I miss LA. This just was the icing on the cake.

Almost there

The room is almost set up how I want it. All the equipment is up. Life is getting comfortable again.

I am LOVING the time off , but I am going a bit stir crazy. So I think tomorrow I am going to take pictures of all my favorite places in the city and post them. So all of you can see why I came back...

I have a beer to drink and some music to write...be back soon!

Day 4 - Moved In

I finally moved all my stuff into my bedroom. So its official. I am back in the city for a LONG time. Its a bit weird I must say , not having to run back to LA. It's going to take some getting used to.

I am on my way out the door here in a few minutes to pick up some amenities from target. So I will be back to blog more later. this time it will have pictures. :-)

Day 2

Since I have officially moved back to the Bay Area I have decided to start "blogging" my adventures for all of you to see. Soon there will be pictures and music suggestions and so on...

I will also be using this blog as a way to track my progress with Job hunting and Training. Good times are a foot ladies and gentleman. Good times are a foot.
