For those of you who don't know I currently work my days at a software company. I wont name it now, because it may end up being in a report that I have to do every time I go in. It's a great company and the people are fantastic. The work can be a bit dull , but the laughs keep me coming back.
I work nights, occasionally, at this lovely club called Bottom Of The Hill. I work there when I can, for free mind you, helping out the audio engineers work. Some nights I get lucky and I mix. Which makes me really happy. It's the reason I left LA , and it's the reason that I look forward to being tired in the AM.
Another my endeavors is a great little company that I joined with some friends of mine called LOST PENGUIN MEDIA. We do music marketing , Brand Management, Endorsements and my job , Tour Support. This involves me booking bands for fun road trips playing their music to people who want to listen. While they have the fun , I will be worrying about money , cars , hotels , mixing , eating , spreadsheets , how their manager is going to yell at me, how their label may yell at me and how Steve will say "Its all good dude...I am having a glass of wine and a newport light 100..." We have a couple of perspective bands including THIS ONE , and THIS ONE. We are all signed up with this insane metal band called Gojira. They rule as dudes, and as musicians..
I should be on tour by this summer which will be fantastic.
On a personal note its been pretty up and down. I have had a bit of heartbreak, but I have also had some great times. I even went on a diet and lost 20 pounds. Pretty stoked about that! It is amazing to be back in the "YAY-Area" more specifically back in the "Bernal Dwellings". I put some photos below just so you can see what its been like...
